Top ten of 2011 – Michael Bibko

Welcome back to the Weekly Top Ten on the Pi Sigma Epsilon blog, the ultimate business fraternity and now your number #1 source for the latest in music. Every week, I’ll be reviewing 5-10 songs, switching up bands/themes/genres, and giving you the links so that you can hear what you’ve been missing. Got a favorite song you want on my list? Post it on our blog and I’ll do what I can to preview it for next week.

This being the first top ten since last semester, it’s time to catch up on some of the better music that’s been released since. The first Top Ten of 2011- check it out!

10. International Love- Chris Brown ft. Pitbull

Seems like you can’t turn on the radio without hearing either of these two…Another hit from this tag team of skyrocketing artists.

9. Kobe Bryant- Lil Wayne

One of those tracks that’ll be found in warm-up playlists forever. Whether you like or despise both Kobe and Wayne, you can’t hate on this. (skip to 0:45 if you want to skip the talking)

8. Movin Like Berney- I.S.A.

The newest dance from the South based on the hit movie “Weekend at Bernie’s.” Pretty entertaining video of really good dancers mixed with people who should probably never move again. Known to start spontaneous dance parties at PSE socials.

7. Roll Up-Wiz Khalifa

While everyone’s still focusing on all the “Black and Yellow” remakes, check out the newest slow jam from The Wiz. (Unfortunately, due to publishing issues, we are not allowed to post the video on our website.) Go ahead and take a listen to it on youtube though!

6. Maniac- Jason Derulo ft. Auburn

After releasing a few duds, a new and better song by Derulo with a good feature from Auburn.

5. Pass Me By- J. Cole ft. B.O.B.

For those of you who haven’t listened to J. Cole, definitely check this out. One of the best new lyricists in the music industry today and B.O.B. always impresses.

4. Let’s Make A Movie (Ft. Chris Brown)-Twista

Slightly reminiscent of Kanye’s “Slow Jamz”…great track from Chris Brown and the aptly-named “Fastest Rapper Alive.”

3. Big- Skepta Ft. Chipmunk

Some UK Grime from one of the best. Some amazing one-liners from both rappers.

2. Look At Me Now Ft. Lil Wayne & Busta Rhymes- Chris Brown

Another star-studded CB track with a really good flow from Brown to Rhymes to Wayne.

1. Bow Chicka Wow Wow (Remix)- Mike Posner ft. Lil Wayne

I haven’t been a fan of Posner, but this track has possibly started to change my mind. A Wayne feature never hurts either. (Unfortunately, due to publishing issues, we are not allowed to post the video on our website.) Go ahead and take a listen to it on youtube though!

There it is. Don’t forget to hit me up with requests or comments and I’ll see you right here next week. DJ Gold.
