Sports cars are so beautiful that you can easily fall head over heels for one.  They say love is blind, but try to keep your pants on when looking for “the one.”  Kesey Mays, the author of “Top 10 Fun-to-Drive Cars,” recommends 10 different car models you can enjoy driving without breaking the bank.

I. Bang for your Bucka.

a.  2011 Ford Mustang: It’s affordable and beats the Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger in a comparison test.  (V-6 model305 horsepower and 31 mpg highway)

b. 2011 Mazda3: It’s less than $24000 and the turbocharged version can hit 60 mph in 5.2 seconds. You will enjoy “spot-on steering, strong brakes and responsive drivetrains.

c. 2011 Mazda MX-5 Miata: With only a four-cylinder engine, and 158 hp, this car provides “great balance, precise steering and an available short-throw manual shifter” at a reasonable price.


II. Fuel-efficient:

a. 2011 Honda CR-Z: The first sport hybrid for the general market, the  Honda CR-Z has three selectable drive modes: normal mode, maximum mileage mode, and sport mode for fun, dynamic driving

b. 2011 Mini Cooper: “the best-handling front-wheel drive car” without requiring extra power.


III. Family-Friendly:

a. 2011 Mazda CX-9: Three-row crossover with precise steering and a powerful engine.  It promises to keep you happy while driving your kids around in the back seat .
