Hispanic Restaurants in Buffalo – Nazzy Romero

I was searching the internet for Hispanic Restaurants and came to realize that there aren’t any Dominican restaurants in Buffalo; however Mexican restaurants are not hard to come by.  Below are the only three restaurants that pop up if you search for Hispanic restaurants on Google.

  • Niagara Café: Serves Puerto Rican food for an affordable price. Niagara Cafe has received numerous awards throughout the years for the best Hispanic cooking. This restaurant is my favorite out of the three because the food is tasty and affordable. This restaurant has really good reviews online on Google; unfortunately they don’t have a website. Niagara Café is located in 525 Niagara Street, Buffalo, NY; whenever you are craving Puerto Rican cuisine stop by there, you won’t be disappointed.

  • Papi’s:  Is known as a family restaurant with Puerto Rican cuisine. I have heard that the food is delicious but is just a bit of a wait, which is mentioned as well on the reviews. Unfortunately this restaurant doesn’t seem to have a website either but Google provides helpful information and reviews on it. I will definitely give this restaurant a try. Papi’s is located: 690 Hertel Ave, Buffalo, NY 14207. It is the building on the left in the picture.

  • ¡Toro! : Is known as city’s first Spanish tapas bar. I haven’t personally tried it yet but I will be trying it soon. The restaurant is owned by wine and food connoisseur Nick Kotrides. This information is found on the website which was nicely designed. The restaurants location is: 492 Elmwood Ave Buffalo, NY 14222.

As mentioned before there aren’t many Hispanic restaurants and I am disappointed that there aren’t any Dominican cuisine restaurants. Try these three restaurants when you crave some traditional Hispanic cuisine!
